Ep #227: Australia's ANZAC Day Honours Those Who Fought and Died for Freedom
In this week's episode, I reflect on the importance of freedom, especially during this significant time around Anzac Day.
I dive deep into why the ANZACs fought and why their sacrifices matter more than ever.
I explore how freedom is under attack in many subtle and not-so-subtle ways: unreasonable laws, corrupt judges, government overspending, 15-minute cities, climate lies, bodily autonomy violations, and restrictions on free speech.
I challenge you to think carefully about what freedom really means in your life and what happens when it is taken away.
I explain why the ANZAC spirit — giving people a fair go — is fundamental to Australia’s culture, and how we must fight to preserve it. A "fair go" clearly relates to "fairness", and fairness is the word that most people use to describe "justice". I explore the challenges posed by questionable judicial systems that are failing to properly apply the rule of law leading to unjust, unfair, results.
I also share reflections on Pope Francis’ problematic legacy and refer you to the important insights of Archbishop Carlo Vigano.
I recommend a moving song, The Distant Call of Home, that ties beautifully into this theme of loss and courage. You can find out more here: The War That Changed Us – The Music of The Orbweavers. (https://mistletone.net/news/the-war-that-changed-us-the-music-of-the-orbweavers/)
I also touch on the surprising health benefits of nicotine, encouraging you to explore the truth for yourself. A great place to start is this podcast episode by Dr Bryan Ardis: The Dr Ardis Show - Benefits of Nicotine. (https://open.spotify.com/episode/1oMdukTcIoykW3LfNSfWNL)
I stress the urgent need to push back against misinformation from so-called health authorities.
Finally, I introduce our exciting new initiative: the “Ban Dic Dan” website, as a means of holding politicians accountable for the unacceptable damage they have caused.
Freedom isn’t just a nice idea — it is essential to a fulfilling life. If we don’t fight for it, who will? And if you lose your freedom, I say that to a large degree your life is destroyed.
